Resting voltage at 25 °C. Typical: median of three Samsung SDI tables; range: all three. Readings taken hours after the last charge or discharge.
What to know
LiHV cells are charged to 4.35 V instead of 4.2 V per cell. The three Samsung SDI tables we used agree closely, so after a rest the percentages are a fair guide.
Charging and limits
| Charge (absorption) | 4.35 V maximum |
|---|---|
| Float | none: the charger stops when the current falls |
| Discharge cut-off | about 3.30 V at rest (Samsung SDI data) |
| Storage | 3.80–3.85 V |
| Charging temperature | see the datasheet |

Tips
Charge LiHV cells with a charger set for 4.35 V per cell: a standard LiPo charger stops at 4.2 V and leaves them partly charged.
To store Li-ion and LiPo for weeks, leave them at about 3.8–3.85 V per cell (Grepow’s storage charge), neither full nor empty.
On a pack, also measure each cell at the balance plug: one weak cell can hide behind a normal total.
Open in the calculator →Enter the voltage you measured and get the charge with its range.

Frequently asked questions
What voltage is a LiHV cell at 50 %?
About 3.83 V at rest; the charts we used range from 3.83 V to 3.84 V.
What voltage is a LiHV cell at 100 %?
About 4.33 V at rest, hours after charging. While charging, the charger holds it at 4.35 V.
At what voltage is a LiHV cell empty?
At rest, below about 3.68 V only about 10 % is left; the Samsung SDI data put empty at 3.30 V.
